Grades/ Fees of Membership

A brief outline of qualifications and experience appropriate to the seven main grades of NZIOB membership are:

Student

Undertaking study in an approved course

$15.00 + GST

Licentiate LNZIOB

Completed trade qualification or certificate or diploma course and be in an industry related business

$132.00 + GST

Graduate GradNZIOB

Completed a recognised degree qualification at an approved teaching institution or equivalent and be employed in an industry related business

$154.00 + GST

Associate ANZIOB

Completed a recognised certificate or diploma course ay an approved teaching institution: or trade examinations and 5 years LNZIOB membership or equivalent. 4 Years post qualification experience in building industry or related field

$220.00 + GST

Affiliate AffilNZIOB

Completed a degree in a non-related field. 10 years experience in a building relation profession

$286.00 + GST

Member MNZIOB

Completed a recognised degree or equivalent in building or related field or 5 years ANZIOB membership and hold an executive position

$286.00 + GST

Fellow FNZIOB

5 years MNZIOB membership. Notable and sustained contribution to the building industry

$308.00 + GST

There is an entrance fee of $50.00 + GST.
The annual membership subscription fees are indicated (in grey) above.

We also offer a Retired Membership option and Overseas Membership option, as well as a distinguished Honorary Membership, which recognises an individuals' contribution to the industry and being a person of eminence, station and or distinguished by scientific, artistic, literary or other cultural attainments.

We also offer the Registered Construction Manager Certificate. The administration fee (for application) is $75.00 + GST, and thereafter the annual registration fee is $50.00 + GST. Proposal to another Grade of Membership.

Note: Student membership is free for the first year of joining the NZIOB.
